Presentation: Assessment of Flood Adaptation Options in Los Angeles County (50 minutes)
Researchers Dr. Brett Sanders and Dr. Katie Mach presented their project to assess flood adaptation options and begin the process of co-creating three county-wide flood risk adaptation strategies: (a) raising levees, (b) widening channels, and (c) capturing stormwater. Participants will provide feedback on the scenarios and be invited to participate in two additional workshops in spring and summer '24 to review, refine, and evaluate the scenarios before preliminary results are presented in the fall.
