About this event:

Join CA’s Office of Planning and Research for an in-person workshop to provide input on the draft framework for the Regional Synthesis Reports (regional reports), identify local priorities to be addressed through California’s Fifth Climate Change Assessment, and begin identifying partners interested in being part of regional author teams.

These workshops will also include an opportunity to share community-level adaptation and resilience priorities to inform the 2024 Update to California’s Climate Adaptation Strategy, and identify climate-vulnerability variables to guide the development of the State’s Vulnerable Communities Platform.

Local and regional partners representing science/academia, community-based organizations (CBOs), tribes and tribal organizations, local governments, and others are encouraged to attend.

Please RSVP for one convening based on your region.

Language access:

If you require translation and interpretation services to participate in this event, please email climateassessment@opr.ca.gov with the regional convening you are interested in participating in and your preferred language by Friday, June 30th.

Si requiere servicios de traducción de inglés a otros idiomas, por favor haga su petición antes de viernes, 30 de junio a climateassessment@opr.ca.gov con el nombre de la región que le interesa y el idioma que prefieres.

Participation assistance:

We are committed to an equity-centered engagement process to ensure the Fifth Assessment drives climate action on the ground. Our local partners and co-hosts for the regional workshops are assessing participation assistance needs to support expenses related to attending the workshops. Please fill out this form if you require participation assistance for one of the regional workshops. Our budget is limited and priority will be given to under-resourced community members, tribes, and tribal-serving organizations.
