Selecting Climate Scenarios for the California Energy Sector

  • CALIFORNIA ENERGY COMMISSION 1516 9th St Sacramento, CA, 95814 United States (map)

The Energy Commission is planning an in-depth study of the vulnerability of the California energy system to climate change designed to identify realistic adaptation options that will minimize or eliminate negative impacts.

This is a follow-up meeting to the staff meeting held on May 19, 2014 in which we discussed the desired characteristics of the new generation of climate projections for the energy system that address some key deficiencies in prior methods. Representatives from the California Department of Water Resources will participate in this meeting. The two agencies are coordinating their respective efforts on this topic.
