Socio-Economic Analyses of Coastal Ecosystem Resilience (SECAR)

Presenters from throughout California will discuss topics ranging from wetland restoration to Marine Protected Areas and watershed-level greening efforts. This event is co-hosted by the Santa Monica Bay Restoration Commission, the Center for Urban Resilience, and Loyola Marymount University. The keynote presentation will be given by the Founding Principal of organicARCHITECT, Eric Corey Freed, and will address a range of issues from green building and biomimicry to climate change, and how they relate to the economics of coastal resiliency. Other noteworthy presenters include Christine Whitcraft, Matthew Kahn, Ryan Vaughn, and Amanda Zellmer.
