This interactive workshop is brought to you as a part of the U.S. Department of Energy’s SunShot Solar Outreach Partnership’s technical assistance offering. In the morning session (9 a.m. – 12 p.m.), ICLEI Local Governments for Sustainability USA and The Solar Foundation in collaboration with local solar practitioners will provide you with a comprehensive overview of the technology, benefits and barriers of solar development. The session will also visit the national and local solar market statuses and policy landscapes.

The afternoon session (1 p.m. – 3 p.m.) will dive deeper into some of the best practices and innovative approaches in solar financing and procurement.

Following the session, the Solar Outreach Partnership, with the assistance of the SBCCOG, will be available for solar consultation starting at 3:15 p.m..

After the workshop, the Solar Outreach Partnership will be available on an on-going basis to provide you with additional complimentary services in the forms of free solar resources and technical assistance to help bring more solar to your community.
