City of Glendale: Funding Opportunity for Community Organizers and Leaders
The City of Glendale is developing a Climate Action and Adaptation Plan (CAAP) to serve as the roadmap for Glendale to equitably achieve carbon neutrality by 2045 or earlier, in line with the State of California’s climate goals. The CAAP will also demonstrate how Glendale will adapt and improve how we manage and respond to both existing and future climate change impacts (e.g., extreme heat, wildfire, etc.).
The City seeks community-based organizations (CBOs) working in the City of Glendale to help collect input on the challenges posed by the proposed CAAP actions and the support community members need to participate in actions like building electrification, preparation for extreme weather, or making a shift to walking and biking. The City has set aside discretionary funds (up to $3,000) to disburse to CBOs gathering feedback on the CAAP using materials developed by the City.
