CEC speakers will provide an overview on the CalAPP solar permitting program and its usefulness to CA local governments. NREL speakers will provide an overview of the SolarApp tool and speak on the main findings and impacts other local governments have seen to date. The California Solar and Storage Association (CALSSA) will discuss how SolarAPP can help lower the costs of going solar and facilitate solar adoption as we move towards large-scale decarbonization. Lastly, LGSEC will facilitate a Q&A and discussion on how the CEC’s CalAPP funds can be leveraged by local governments to help support the adoption of SolarAPP in their jurisdictions.
